A note about shipping: We receive a lot of questions about shipping all types of plants. Generally the only things we can ship are bare-root, so that limits us to daylilies. Most of our other perennials and shrubs are too large to be ship-able.
We're located in the rolling hills of South-Central Wisconsin in Evansville, about 25 miles south of Madison, and 20 miles northwest of Janesville. We are a family owned nursery, with a dedicated and knowledgeable staff. We have thousands of varieties of perennials, trees and shrubs, water plants, select annuals and tropicals, and acres of daylilies. Field grown bare-root daylilies can be ordered and picked up here at the nursery, or can be shipped across the country.
We are not only producers of plants, but we are also passionate gardeners as well. We like to try and cultivate as many of the plants we sell as possible: both in the display and private gardens here (Zone 5), but also in a private garden in Northwest Wisconsin (Zone 3).
Our experience has taught us that Winter hardiness depends on several factors, so always consider using plant zone listings as a general guide, but not an absolute rule. Many of the perennials and woody plants in the trade will do fine a zone (or two) beyond their listed hardiness - though you might have to provide special growing conditions and Winter protection. Still, it doesn't hurt to try.
